About the HTTP Status Checker
The Bulk HTTP Status Checker tests up to 20 URLs in parallel and reports the final status code, how many redirects each URL passed through, total response time and the final destination. HEAD requests keep it fast; servers that reject HEAD are automatically retried.
Feed it your sitemap sample, your top landing pages after a relaunch, or the target URLs from your link-building sheet. Any 3xx result links straight into the Redirect Checker for the full chain.
2xx = success (200 OK). 3xx = redirect (301 permanent, 302 temporary). 4xx = client error (404 not found, 403 forbidden, 410 gone). 5xx = server error. For SEO, every important URL should answer 200 directly or reach it via a single 301.
After migrations, sitemap updates or link audits you rarely need one URL — you need to verify a whole list. This tool checks up to 20 URLs in parallel and reports final status, redirect count and response time for each.
A page that says "not found" to visitors but returns HTTP 200 to crawlers. Status checkers cannot detect them by code alone — if a suspicious URL returns 200, open it and check the content.
